In Lagos State’s Mushin area, a yet-to-be-identified adult male was tragically killed by a moving train on Monday evening. The incident occurred around 6 pm while the man was walking along the Cappa railway tracks.
According to a statement from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the victim sustained severe injuries from the collision and was found dead at the scene. Nosa Okunbor, LASEMA’s spokesman, confirmed that the man died instantly due to the impact of the train.
The agency’s Eagle Response Team was deployed in response to the emergency alert. Upon arrival, they discovered the deceased—described as a half-dressed male—lying on the tracks, having been struck by the train. The body was collected by the response team and is awaiting transfer to the morgue by the State Environmental Health Monitoring Unit officials.
